  10. Launch High-Performance Teams

The program contains a blend of e-learning, group coaching and live virtual training.

The e-learning is largely self-paced but will need to be completed to receive the certification. It includes a large amount of reading as well. You should expect to spend somewhere between 100 and 200 hours on the e-learning portion of this program. The e-learning includes:

  • free curated content including videos and articles found online (mostly produced by BERTEIG)
  • exclusive content all produced by BERTEIG
  • textbooks (you will have to pay for these)
  • quizzes and tests used to verify your completion of the e-learning activities
  • mindset assessments (taken at the start and end of the program)
  • a final exam for the program that synthesizes both the e-learning and the live virtual training

The group coaching support sessions are not requirements, but are strongly recommended as they provide you with an opportunity to reflect on your progress, discuss challenges with the material or application of the learning, and receive any other support you need with the program. The coaching support sessions are facilitated by the following people, in rotation:

  • Mishkin Berteig (all topics)
  • Jerry Doucett (Agile Methods and Organizational Change)
  • David Vicentin (Leadership Growth and Lean Thinking)
  • Pedram Malek (Community Development and Technical Practices)
  • Nima Honarmandan (customer support and logistics)

The live virtual training gives you opportunities to discuss and practice the techniques you will be learning. Attending the live virtual training is absolutely required; you cannot challenge the final exam without perfect attendance at these sessions. The live virtual training sessions total approximately 35 hours and follow this sequence:

  1. Introductory ½ day session delivered by Mishkin Berteig (monthly dates available)
  2. 4x ½ day team facilitation (various regular dates available)
  3. 4x ½ day agile coaching (various regular dates available)
